The Danteshwari Temple is located in Dantewada district, Chhattisgarh, and is dedicated to Goddess Danteshwari, an incarnation of Shakti. Considered one of the oldest temples in the region, it is an important religious center for the tribal communities of Bastar and a significant Shakti peetha.

The temple's architecture reflects traditional stone temple styles with gradual modifications over centuries. The sanctum houses the main idol of the Goddess, adorned with gold and precious stones during festivals.

The temple is a revered Shakti peetha where devotees believe the Goddess fulfills wishes and offers protection. Daily rituals, morning and evening aarti, and special poojas are conducted with devotion.

The temple features a stone sanctum with a pyramidal shikhara. The mandapam and surrounding structures showcase traditional chhattisgarhi temple craftsmanship.

The Danteshwari Temple's origins are shrouded in antiquity, with local legends associating it with the epic Ramayana. Historical evidence suggests the temple existed during the Nagavanshi rule (10th–12th centuries) and has been continuously worshipped since.
