Kanger Ghati National Park, located in Bastar district, Chhattisgarh, covers approximately 200 square kilometers of mixed deciduous forest. The park is renowned for its rich biodiversity, limestone caves, waterfalls, and as a habitat for the endangered state bird, the hill myna. It also provides refuge to several tribal communities living in harmony with the forest.

Kanger Ghati offers a unique blend of wilderness adventure and cultural immersion. Visitors can explore ancient caves, trek through lush forests, encounter diverse wildlife, and learn about the sustainable practices of indigenous tribes who have inhabited the region for centuries.

The park's vegetation consists of teak, sal, bamboo, and mixed forest species. The undulating terrain supports a variety of ecological niches, from moist valleys to dry ridges, fostering high biodiversity.

Documented species include Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, gaur (Indian bison), sloth bear, wolf, wild dog, flying squirrel, and the hill myna (state bird of Chhattisgarh).

The park is managed under Project Tiger guidelines. Conservation efforts include anti-poaching patrols, habitat management, community participation, and eco-tourism regulation.
